Tennis Tip: Rain & Sprain

Remembering instructions sounds like a no-brainer, right? Well, all too often it’s not as easy as it sounds. Catch phrases can help. Here’s one to help us remember safety first on wet courts. While this may sound super basic, it’s always surprising to me to see how many people try to “stretch” their play time by hitting and running around on slightly wet courts.

Rain and Sprain – So many people keep playing on hard courts after a little rain has sprinkled the courts. This is more dangerous than you’d think and the chance of ankle and knee sprains increases tremendously when courts are wet. So, if you’re in the rain, watch out for that sprain.

See you on the Court,

Coach Tony
